I wear them both all the time!

I wear them both all the time. They remind me of how powerful my father is and that His love is so immense that He sent His son, a part of Him, to make a choice to follow Him!! This is a HUGE gift as a gentile.
A reminder and an invitation to others.

Thank you for sharing your inspiring story! We're glad our wristbands serve as a meaningful reminder of His love and power. Blessings and shalom to you!

Discipleship at its core....

Discipleship at its core. Such a great Bible study, full of Scripture and questions that really make you dive deep into who God created you to be. Perfect for group Bible studies and support groups.

This book grew my desire for God's refining fire!

I loved this book so so much. It's definitely one that I'll pick up and go through again. It walks through the process of finding your identity in God and growing in Him, like gold in the refiner's fire. The main thing that shone through in this book was a love for the Bible. It didn't use a lot of the verses you usually find in studies. I read through verses that I've never really looked at before, and it wasn't hard to catch Courtney's passion for the Word. It felt like my Bible highlights doubled, just from this book!
,As I walked through this book, I related so much to every single chapter. It's very thorough in addressing the highs and lows we experience walking with God. She regularly validated my experiences with her own, while also encouraging me to release the things I've found a false identity in. This book was convicting in the most encouraging way, and really made my desire grow for drawing closer to God and becoming who He's asking me to be!

I'm still reading and reflecting on this book. God has had me in a season of seeking to understand my true identity. This beautiful writing was so on target to remind me as I allow myself to continually be refined God is showing himself in new ways in me as I walk it out. Thank you!

Infused with Scripture

I was really excited to get a copy of this book in my hands. I love the format. Unlike a lot of other Christian books, this one includes scripture with space to write on every or every few pages. Courtney doesn't just spoon-feed you the information. She shares her explanations while also guiding you through God's word for him to speak to you Himself. I like that it's small and written like a book, but also includes the element of Bible study. A good read for sure.

Core to Faith

The thing I like most about this book is that you can't separate your identity from Christ and yet so many people struggle to see themselves as God sees them. Highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read when you are searching for...

In Refining Identity Courtney Cohen takes us on a journey toward understanding truth about who God is and who He says that we are. She shares her own personal experiences and revelations as God taught her these things in her own life. She takes us through the process that gold goes through, as it is refined, to share how our identity is refined as we seek God and become more like Him. It is such an easy read full of scripture to study which will leave you not just learning the author's story but knowing God's heart for you.

I have enjoyed working through Refining Identity

I have enjoyed working through Refining Identity. I often felt like Courtney was talking directly to me. This is both a bible study, where the reader can go through the scriptures and apply them to her own life, and a book, with meaningful commentary and useful personal stories from the author.

Refining Identity starts with a scriptural study of who God is, then addresses who we are in Christ. An important chapter on spiritual warfare is included. The book is at once theological and practical, helping the reader both understand God's design, and apply it to her life.

I love the subtitle of Refining Identity: "I am who I AM says I am." As Christians, we are not who our friends say we are, or our circumstances - we are His and He defines us. One of my favorite quotes from the book is "We were never intended to reach our potential through our own strengths. At some point, if we truly desire to be the people God has created us to be, we have to be willing to hand over the controls, rip up or blueprints and allow Him to re-sketch our identities."

Amazingly Blessed By This

I enjoyed reading through this and studying the word. I liked the way the scriptures were grouped to really help me see who I am in Christ and how to act based on that and not based on earning Gods love. I felt like every time I read the next chapter that it was just what I needed to learn at that moment in my life...like it was orchestrated by God for me to see that chapter on that day. So glad I have this study! Going through it again with a small group of women from my church who are also being amazingly blessed by it!

A Spiritual Journey

This Bible study really is a spiritual journey. I have never seen a format like this one. Most studies include a chapter of teaching with a study at the end. Courtney pulls you into the conversation in each chapter with open references to scripture. It really is impossible to read this study without your Bible open next to you. That is what I love most! She guides you and yet, with such humility, steps back and allows God to teach you through His Word. You can sense her heart and passion for you to grow in who God designed you to be and through her format, you will be engaged with every page. I've often found myself taking a few days to complete one chapter, simply because of all of the searching of scripture that I'm doing. I don't mind, because there is so much to digest. You will be blessed!

Know Your Truth

At some point, we all struggle with the question, who am I? Far too often, it's easy to let other people and society dictate who we are. Courtney's book reminds us of our true identity and the source of that identity. She shares many truths, scriptures and personal stories to help us overcome the lies that may fill our head. You'll end the book feeling more confident than ever. This isn't a book you'll want to rush through. The discussion questions make the book perfect for self-study or even book clubs.

Learning to see myself as HE sees me

There is so much depth in each chapter, packed full of truths that had me nodding my head in agreement, wiping tears of gratitude away, and making me stop and praise my Creator. I read -- no, STUDIED, my way through this book at the most perfect time in my life, when I was being pounded by insecurities and fears about the next chapter that is looming ahead in my life. By the end of the first chapter, I was already back to remembering WHOSE I am, and that HE will complete that which He said He would do.

The format of the book is unique and refreshing. Courtney is our guide through the different characteristics and qualities of God, and ourselves as humans. The examples she shares from her own life are endearing, and help to create a sense of intimacy -- we are not going through this alone.

I had a very real sense that she was cheering me along as I read and studied and began to change. I want to buy this book for so many of my friends! It would be amazing to use as a group study!
